Our mission
Before buying a travel insurance policy, most people need to read real experiences from other users: how a medical assistance went, what happened with a cancellation, how a baggage claim was resolved. Without that information it's difficult to compare and choose wisely.
Our mission is to collect, organize and publish transparently the reviews and experiences that travelers share about IATI insurance, classified by incident type (medical assistance, cancellations, baggage, refunds, communication, exclusions, etc.).
What we are NOT
OpinionesIATI.com is not the official IATI website and has no commercial, contractual or sponsorship relationship with the insurer. We are not employees, agents, brokers or distributors of its products.
We do not sell or compare insurance prices and we do not offer legal or financial advice. Everything you'll find here are opinions and experiences from users, along with guidance on how to review an insurance policy before purchasing.
How we work
- We publish reviews as travelers send them, with minimal editing for spelling or formatting only.
- We classify each experience by category (medical assistance, cancellation, baggage, etc.) to make searching easier.
- We never publish a testimonial as a "verified review" without checking it following the procedure described in How we verify reviews.
- We do not generate aggregate ratings, global averages or percentages that do not come directly from the reviews published on the portal.
- We remove any content that is manifestly false, defamatory or that breaches applicable law.
Editorial independence
Published reviews reflect the individual experience of each user in specific circumstances and do not represent the position of the portal. We present both positive and negative experiences without prioritizing either, and without receiving any compensation for publishing them.
